The weather turned cool this Friday night in Columbia at the Maury County Park track. Overall the PC Splash was a great show despite the adversity of the USDA being unreasonable. Later in the week I will add a link to the re-broadcast of the show by Dean Johnson Video - the Brogdon Family helped sponser the broadcast and he did some neat commercials for us.
The highlight of the PC Splash was
Chrome Dollar who won the 2 year old stallion class outstandingly with Charlie and looked the best he has all year! Woo-Hoo he is Celebration Bound! Joyce Meyers made a great show on
Row Ya Boat for Joyce Meadows in the 4 year old stallion class and tied 2nd. Yours truly won the first blue of the season in the 4 year old Mare and Gelding Class on
Pushin' Dollars & Sense. Charlie got a blue on a new 2 year old filly named
Night Shades Sonyador - owned by the Leonards from Arkansas. She was great.
The big highlight for Charlie Green Stables at the Lynchburg show was Kounti Green's debut in the lead line class on her new pony
Casper. Candy,Kounti and Casper tied 2nd in the class and were a crowd favorite.
Alot of classes turned out to be exhibition style including Ben on
White Out by Jazzin the 2 yr old amateur mares & geldings class,Lynda on
Ozone's Full Throttle in the amateur 4 yr old stallions class, Sister on
C Me Push, Charlie on
Flamingo Dancer in the 3 year old mare & gelding class, and
Masked Threat in the 15.2 class (Threat later went back to win reserve in the stake!). Joyce Meyers showed
Jose's Whole Shabang in a good Amateur Mares and Geldings class and (IMHO won) tied 2nd.
(FYI after the show I asked Billy Thomas why they picked this judge for their show and he advised me that his brother Charles is good friends with Lonnie and that people had been giving him (Billy)a hard time all night about this.)
